Vintage Chinese White Cloisonné Trinket Jar

This traditional Chinese cloisonné techniques features intricately shaped brass wires (cloisons) soldered to a brass body to create detailed color compartments. The canvas of the jar features a crisp white enamel background entirely filled with a classic repeating xiangyun (auspicious cloud) scroll pattern. Gracefully wrapping around both the lid and the container body are branching prunus (plum blossom) vines. In Chinese art, these resilient plum blossom blooming amidst winter clouds symbolizes perseverance, hope, and new beginnings.
