Antique Czech Orange Tango Opaline Glass Vanity Set
A masterpiece of Art Deco luxury, this rare and entirely complete 1930s Czechoslovakian orange tango opaline glass vanity set is an ultimate statement piece.
Integrated into an extraordinary, footed gilt brass filigree caddy frame with a built-in swinging boudoir mirror, this ensemble perfectly blends elite bohemian glass blowing with dramatic Hollywood Regency style.
The three substantial glass bodies are hand-blown from vibrant, opaque tangerine-hued "Tango Glass" (a highly saturated colored opaline pioneered by historic Czech factories like Loetz and Michael Powolny). The glass features a smooth, satin finish that catches ambient light with an incredible warmth.
- Cologne Decanter: Crowned by a massive, brilliantly hand-cut geometric crystal ball stopper that sharply refracts light to contrast the opaque orange body.
- Perfume Atomizer Bottle: Complete with its original polished brass collar, an elegant curved drop-neck spray arm, and a classic black woven fabric squeeze bulb with a long cord.
- Lidded Powder/Trinket Jar: A wide cylindrical vanity pot topped with a domed lid and a delicate brass scroll loop finial.
- Integrated Swinging Boudoir Mirror Caddy: The entire suite is nested within a heavy, deep-set frame of pierced openwork floral brass filigree. The unit stands on four ornate, robust scrolling acanthus-leaf feet and supports a central swinging oval mirror framed in coordinating botanical metalwork.
