Vintage Carved Wood Fragment

The piece shows deep relief work — a figure in profile, rendered with confident hand-carving across the grain. The wood has darkened to a rich honey-brown, patina evident in the recessed areas where detail work was most precise. The back is unfinished, rough where it was likely separated from a larger architectural or decorative element. What remains is sculptural enough to stand alone, a study in restraint and craft.
