TSI x Rookwood Pottery - Butterfly Medallion Ornament
The ornament features an entirely custom-molded, round relief medallion format engineered exclusively for this collaborative release. The intricate face is a direct homage to Tiffany's signature butterfly motif, showcasing a cluster of dimensionally carved lepidopteran. This design choice carries deep historical ties; both Rookwood and the early 20th-century Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts movements heavily favored the butterfly as a supreme symbol of organic transformation and natural beauty.
Hand-cast from architectural-grade stoneware clay, the piece is finished in a specialized, semi-translucent monochrome blue glaze designed to pool beautifully within the recesses.
