Antique 1920s Chinese Export Engraved Brass Tea Service Tray

This decorative utility piece dates to the early Republic Era (circa 1914–1930) and stands as a classic example of Chinese export metalwork manufactured for western markets following the implementation of early 20th-century trade regulations. The underside features a partial, hand-struck "MADE IN CHINA" block export stamp.

The platter is hand-hammered from solid brass alloy, showcasing a hand-incised central medallion decorated with a traditional botanical arrangement. The narrow vertical wall terminates in a distinctively crimped, scalloped or foliated rim border, a hallmark structural finish of period Chinese brassware workshops.
