Custom Upholstered Peony Side Chair, TSI Atelier

A vintage Louis XVI-style fauteuil, reupholstered by our atelier in House of Hackney's Hollyhocks — a Spring cotton linen. The fabric is a riot of blooms in every direction: pinks, oranges, purples, and whites tumbling across the seat and oval back in a composition that evokes the luminous abundance of a Klimt floral painting. The carved frame, with its fluted legs and foliate details, gives the exuberance of the fabric exactly the structure it needs.
