Majolica Waterlily Cake Stand

Majolica, a richly colored, heavy earthenware pottery that is coated with a bright, opaque tin glaze shines on this cake stand. The surface is modelled in high relief with waterlily leaves in soft green glaze, their veining carved with precision. A single pink waterlily bloom floats at the centre. The scalloped rim follows the natural curve of the leaves, mimicked in the small footed base.
