Vintage Dutch Miniature Nautical Oil Paintings by H. Wester, Set

A beautiful, highly cohesive pair of vintage mid-century miniature nautical paintings executed in oil on board by the listed Dutch artist H. Wester.

Following World War II and moving into the 1960s and 1970s, specialized art brokers in the Netherlands commissioned talented regional painters like H. Wester to produce high-quality, miniature landscapes and seascapes for the international export market.

The crisp, typed label stating "This is a Genuine Oil Painting painted entirely by hand... Imported from Holland" was attached at the Dutch workshop or by the importing gallery to guarantee authenticity to North American and British buyers.
