Antique Chinese Export Champlevé Enamel Hand Bell
Hand-fashioned during the late Qing Dynasty to early Republic era, this heavy cast brass desk bell displays a spectacular matte cobalt blue enamel background inlaid directly into recessed metal channels. The exposed, unpolished brass outlines form an expansive pattern of continuous scrolling botanical vines and stylized floral blooms. Complete with a matching, heavily enameled baluster handle and raised center collar flange, the piece has been left completely unpolished to preserve its rich estate character and deep olive tarnish.
