Vintage Mid-Century Hand-Stamped Indian Brass Aftaba Ewer Pitcher

This classical piece dates back to the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s). Hand-formed and chiseled in northern India's historic metalworking regions, the hollow pedestal base bears the traditional stippled "INDIA" export hallmark, hand-punched using a specialized dot-enclosing stamp tool. The interior foot well retains a striking, beautifully untouched layer of natural verdigris oxidation. The exterior displays a masterfully hand-chiseled botanical landscape of trailing desert fronds and vines that wraps seamlessly up the elongated neck to the hinged finial cap.
